How to remove the DataStorm from the mounting plate...
Sometimes it is easier to remove the DataStorm from its mounting plate
and just mount the plate itself on the roof first.

Later on, you'll simply lift the DataStorm dish and screw it back on to
the secured mounting plate.

The DataStorm is attached to the plate by 4 Phillips screws and 4 locking nuts.
You'll need to remove these 4 screws.
To remove the screws, you'll need to use a 7/16 wrench to hold the
nut on the other side while you use a screwdriver to remove the Phillips screw.
In order to reach all the nuts, you will need to raise the satellite dish. To do this,
find the DataStorm control cable that is attached to the dish when it was shipped.
DataStorm control cable
Two wires will be undone from the group.... the ORANGE and RED wires.
Simply place a 9 Volt Battery (or a 9-18Volt DC drill battery is acceptable,) to these two leads to raise (and lower) the satellite dish.
Reverse the wires if you wish to reverse the direction of the satellite
dish movement.

Once the dish is raised, you can get to the nuts to remove all of
the screws.

The plate should now be free from the DataStorm.

That's it!
