In order to activate modems for your customer, you need to have a Certain information issued to you by the ISP. This information can vary from software, firmware, or registration numbers many times you may wish to have the system pre commissioned to make the install as smooth as possible but in the case you receive a non-comisoned modem you will need to be familiar with that providers policy for commisiong the systems for service.
Once you have decided what kind of bandwidth the customer will require and where they will be traveling you should consult with MotoSAT's VAR (Value Added Reseller) department to get advice on the most appropriate platform and package for your customer.

iDirect Modems will generally be Preommisioned. But in the event a customer changes there mind about a package or footprint you may find yourself doing the commissioning onsite manually.
HughesNET can be preommisioned by an ISP but is generally done on site using a Site Account Number and account PIN number. These can be acquired from your chosen ISP. MotoSAT actually provides an online service for HNS bandwidth purchase called the automatic billing wizard.
